Discover Your Watershed Tour: Watershed to Drinking Water

We take for granted that our drinking water comes out of our faucets clean and ready to drink, but do you ever wonder how it gets there? Join us for a chance to see behind the scenes and find out how water gets from the Middle Fork Willamette River into homes and businesses across Springfield. Springfield Utility Board employees will take us on a tour of a wellfield and treatment site explaining how they ensure that the water coming into our homes is safe and clean. We will also be joined by a brewer from Plank Town Brewing, who uses water from this site to brew its beers, to learn about the importance of water in the brewing process.
