SUMMARY:Oakridge Great Willamette Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Over the past 18 months\, the Willamette River and many other places in our great outdoors have experienced record usage in terms of visitors and recreation. Unfortunately\, this has lead to a lot of trash and debris left behind. Your river needs you more than ever! \nSign up and volunteer with us\, the City of Oakridge\, the Southern Willamette Forest Collaborative\, and Willamette Riverkeeper on October 17th at Greenwaters Park for a land-based volunteer day. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing\, pack along water\, a face mask to be worn during check-in and when working in close proximity to others\, work gloves if you have them\, and sturdy close-toed shoes. We will provide trash bags\, non-latex gloves\, and trash pickers. \nPlease register online at https://bit.ly/GWCU21Oakridge. We hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:Elijah Bristow Restoration Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join us and Oregon State Parks as we walk the River Trail and talk about the need for restoration at Elijah Bristow State Park. We will walk about a mile and a half and talk about human impacts on the park\, where habitat is already healthy\, and what restoration might look like on the ground. Our tour guides will be Ka-Voka Jackson\, Restoration Projects Manager at the Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council\, and Sean Stewart\, Park Ranger at Elijah Bristow State Park. \nWe will be walking on a level trail with some uneven surfaces for about a mile and a half. We are also offering accommodations via motorized vehicle if you are unable to walk this distance. \nRegistration is required and can be found here. We will be holding several tours over the course of September and October so we hope you can join us! \nWe ask that everyone who attends wears a mask as physical distancing will be difficult as we walk the trail. All Lane County public health recommendations will be followed.
