DESCRIPTION:Join the Middle Fork Willamette Watershed Council and Oregon State Parks to learn more about the need for restoration in the park\, our partnership\, and what we hope to achieve. \nCome and meet staff from Oregon State Parks and the Watershed Council. From Oregon State Parks we will be joined by District Manager Sarah Steele\, Park Manager John Mullen\, and Park Ranger Sean Stewart. You will also have a chance to meet our new Executive Director Dov Weinman and Restoration Projects Manager Ka-Voka Jackson.  They will be available to chat and answer questions about the park\, restoration\, and how you could get involved in the process. \nPlease RSVP for this event online here. The event will be at the Big Leaf Maple group picnic sight at the end of the entrance road to allow for adequate social distancing. \n

We will be joined by a Natural Resource Planner at Willamalane\, Molly Juillerat\, District Ranger for the Middle Fork Ranger District\, and Justin Patten\, Fire Planning Forester at Oregon Department of Forestry. These experts will discuss how they are working for a fire resilient landscape\, how these practices may have changed over the last several fire seasons\, and what you can do to help make your own home more resilient to fire.
